At its heart is a PT2399‑based analog delay circuit, calibrated for echo times from 0 to 400 ms, and expandable to 600 ms via internal adjustment—perfect for slap‑back repeats or expansive sonic textures. The external controls are Delay (echo time), Repeat (number of echoes, up to self‑oscillation), Mix (dry/wet blend), and a Mod switch (on/off). Internal trimmers enable Tone (filtering the repeats for brightness or warmth), More (extends delay duration to 600 ms), Mod Depth (intensity of modulation), Mod Rate (modulation speed, from slow chorus to vibrato), and Light (LED brightness setting). The modulation affects only the echoed signal, subtly shifting pitch and adding tape‑style movement without altering the dry tone. This gives Utopia a lively, organic quality that complements both clean tones and overdriven setups.
