The Boss TU-3 Chromatic Tuner (s/n Y7I7236, Made in Taiwan) is a robust and stage-ready pedal tuner, celebrated as the world’s best-selling stage tuner. It delivers precision tuning with a high-visibility 21-segment LED meter that supports both cent and stream (strobe-style) display modes. The built-in brightness control and High-Brightness mode ensure readability under bright lights or outdoor conditions. The tuner is accurate to within ±1 cent and features Accu-Pitch Sign functionality, where the LEDs flow toward the center when tuning is locked. You can select Chromatic mode for versatile tuning or Guitar/Bass mode that accommodates standard, 7-string guitars, and 5- or 6-string basses. Flat tuning is supported up to six semitones below standard pitch.
The TU-3 mutes the signal when engaged, enabling silent tuning during performances, and includes a buffered bypass to maintain signal integrity when it’s off.
