The Marshall BB-2 Bluesbreaker II is a dual-mode overdrive pedal that captures the classic British blues and rock tones associated with Marshall amplifiers. Building on the legacy of the original Bluesbreaker pedal, the BB-2 offers both low-gain transparency and higher-gain drive in a compact and rugged stompbox, making it a versatile choice for blues, classic rock, and modern rock players.
Controls consist of Level, Tone, and Drive knobs, complemented by a Mode switch that allows you to select between Blues mode and Boost mode. Blues mode delivers warm, dynamic overdrive with a smooth breakup that responds naturally to picking dynamics, while Boost mode provides increased gain and output for more aggressive crunch tones and lead boosts. This flexibility allows the BB-2 to function as both a subtle tone enhancer and a more assertive drive pedal.
Housed in a durable metal enclosure with Marshall’s signature styling, the BB-2 is designed for reliable stage and studio use. This example is supplied with the original box. Please note that the battery cover is broken; however, this does not affect the pedal’s performance when powered by an external power supply.
