All Plurabender pedals are designed, made and painted by Erik de Jong himself. They are therefore all unique, numbered and available in limited edition.
The Plurabender TKD 21/15a is a modified version of the well-known and beloved fuzz face and tone bender.
All Plurabenders are laid out with their components on a breadboard first, and soldered onto a PCB only after approval.
PNP Germanium transistors TKD 21/15a, the very suitable successor to the rare OC75
Resistance ratio 100k/47k
Voltage Q1: 0.6-0.8v
Voltage Q2: with the bias potentiometer on the side to set between 4.0-7.5v
Controls:
V: Volume. Controls the output volume of the pedal.
G: Gain. Controls the pedal's gain in the same way that a fuzz face does. Gives color to the sound, making it a very versatile pedal.
P: Pre-gain. The pre-gain knob is an additional feature of this pedal to the fuzz face and tone bender, and controls how much input the pedal receives.
Switch: The switch is a brilliant addition that boosts the sound at lower pre-gain and gain settings.
Like the original fuzz pedals of yesteryear, it is a sensitive circuit that should be connected at the front of the signal chain. It therefore responds very well to your guitar's volume knob.
NOTE:
Due to PNP transistor, an isolated power supply must be used. No daisy chain that includes negatively grounded pedals. Furthermore, the 9v DC center is negative, as usual.
