All capacitors in the signal path have been replaced with higher-grade components for a more transparent signal and improved high-frequency openness. In the first gain stage, the original IC has been replaced with a much quieter type, helping to reduce noise and making the pedal better suited to studio and clean-signal applications. The amplitude LFO has also been made slightly more moderate, resulting in less apparent volume drop and a more controllable tremolo effect across the pedal’s range.
As a Silver Label Made in Taiwan example, this unit represents an early TR-2 version with the familiar Boss build quality and reliable compact enclosure design.
