The Strymon Timeline is a flagship multidimensional delay pedal crafted in the USA, offering studio-grade delay versatility in a rugged, tour-ready chassis. With 12 unique delay engines—including Digital, Tape-style, Pattern, Reverse, Ice, Duck, Swell, Tremolo, Filter, Lo-Fi, dTape, and dBucket—it provides everything from pristine repeats to wild experimental textures. Three front-panel footswitches let you select and activate presets, tap tempo, and capture 30-second stereo loop performances seamlessly.
Controls include a centralized Value encoder for adjusting parameters and accessing menus, with Time for coarse delay time, Repeats for feedback amount, Mix for dry/wet balance, and Filter to shape tonal color. A dedicated Grit knob adds saturation or texture, while Speed and Depth adjust modulation rate and intensity on engines that support it. Behind the scenes, press-and-turn the Value knob to navigate additional settings or hold it for global options like assigning an expression pedal, MIDI modes, or tap subdivisions.
Beyond raw controls, Timeline boasts a bidirectional stereo looper recordable up to half a minute, MIDI in/out, expression pedal input, and a feedback patch loop to insert external effects.
