The Boss BF-2B Bass Flanger is an analog modulation pedal designed specifically for bass, delivering rich and dimensional flanging textures while preserving clarity and definition in the low frequencies. This Made in Japan no label unit has been professionally modified to studio quality specifications, improving transparency, noise performance, and overall stability while maintaining the musical character of the original design.

The modification includes upgraded high-quality capacitors throughout the signal path and bypass circuit, selected with equal or higher capacitance values to provide improved transparency and a broader frequency response. The amplification IC responsible for signal gain has been replaced with a higher-grade component, contributing to lower noise levels and increased signal fidelity suitable for professional studio environments.

The power supply filtering has been optimized, making the pedal less sensitive to variations in power and ensuring more consistent performance with modern pedalboard power supplies. The standard 9-volt modification has been implemented for reliable compatibility with contemporary power setups.

A bicolor LED has been installed to provide enhanced visual feedback, flashing red to indicate the LFO rate setting and turning blue when the effect is engaged. The indicator also allows the LFO frequency to be monitored while the pedal is in bypass mode. The LFO section itself has been refined for improved control, allowing smoother and more precise modulation behaviour.

Serial number 785800 is present on this Made in Japan unit. The professional modifications improve usability, stability, and tonal clarity while preserving the characteristic analog flanger sound.

As an amateur, fitting in the Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive is complicated. With the POD 2.0 alone there are so many variables, and more so with the SD-1. To play along with Tool's 'Pneuma' took me 10 minutes to arrive at the right sounds, sort of. The SD-1 is a less powerful apparatus than I expected, but in time we will be friends I guess.

Mooie wah/fuzz , klinkt meer dan prima . Het enige nadeel is dat je de fuzz niet apart kunt gebruiken en de volgorde wah/fuzz of fuzz/wah niet kunt omschakelen . Is voor de rest ook geen probleem , maar het was mooi geweest als het kon .
