The PreSonus TubePre is a compact single-channel microphone and instrument preamp that combines solid-state reliability with a 12AX7 vacuum tube stage for added warmth and character. Designed for both studio and live applications, it provides clean gain for microphones, guitars, basses, and line-level sources while allowing users to introduce subtle tube coloration when desired.
The front panel features straightforward controls for input gain and output level, making it easy to balance clean amplification with harmonic saturation. The TubePre also includes switchable 48V phantom power for condenser microphones, a high-impedance instrument input for direct connection of guitars and basses, and balanced XLR and TRS connections for flexible integration into a recording or live sound setup.
