The Vox V847 Wah Wah is a classic wah pedal that traces its lineage directly back to the legendary Vox wah pedals of the late 1960s, an effect that helped define the sound of electric guitar in rock, funk, and blues. This example is an early USA-made version, equipped with the Hot Potz potentiometer, a component known for its smooth, consistent sweep and durable construction, and it carries serial number VOX01K801. The V847 delivers the distinctive vocal-like wah character that Vox is famous for, with a musical sweep that ranges from warm, mellow lows in the heel-down position to a pronounced, expressive peak in the toe-down position. This makes it equally suitable for subtle rhythmic textures, punchy funk riffs, and singing lead lines. The pedal is housed in the familiar die-cast casing with a treadle that responds naturally to foot movement, allowing precise control over the effect in real time. As a vintage pedal, it has been fully tested and serviced, and it operates as intended, ready for use in the studio or on stage. For players seeking an authentic piece of Vox history with the feel and sound of the original wah designs, this USA-made V847 is a compelling choice.

Customer photo review of Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive (s/n 094922, black label)

As an amateur, fitting in the Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive is complicated. With the POD 2.0 alone there are so many variables, and more so with the SD-1. To play along with Tool's 'Pneuma' took me 10 minutes to arrive at the right sounds, sort of. The SD-1 is a less powerful apparatus than I expected, but in time we will be friends I guess.

Customer video review of Mythos Argo Octave Fuzz

Customer photo review of Dunlop Crybaby Dardevil Fuzz Wah (s/n AC68F984)
